Experience a New Music Lesson

The tradition of private lessons, with access to the latest tools and technology!

1-on-1 Learning

No one should have to learn about making contemporary music exclusively from YouTube. Although there may be great information available, the best part of 1-on-1 learning is having an active instructor there to provide instant feedback!

The "Traditional" Route

Music education today involves picking an instrument, playing in your school's band/orchestra, learning to read music, and following a conductor. These foundational music skills can be enhanced by using the latest tools provided by modern technology.

FAQs

Where do lessons take place?

Anywhere! I teach in-person as well as remotely.

If you're local to Columbus Ohio, you're welcome to come by my studio space. Or I'll come to where you are -- reach out, and we'll find the best option.

How much do you charge?

Because I offer a variety of lesson experiences, it's difficult for me to share my rates here.

My hourly rates are competitive with no long term commitments. Discounts are available for advanced bookings.

Get in touch if you'd like a quote for any of my services.

What will I learn with you?

Each lesson is tailored to suit your individual needs. We'll explore whatever it is that interests you.

Together, we'll explore the full landscape of music creation, from the fundaments of piano and guitar, to recording, arranging, producing, and mixing.

Whether you're at the keys of a piano or programming MIDI, you'll gain versatile expertise to navigate and excel in the modern music industry.

What style of music can I make?

As the great American composer Duke Ellington put it: "There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind."

I don't like being boxed-in by genre and choose to regularly explore music outside of my comfort-zone.

What I teach can be applied to any style of music you want to make. I stress the importance of remaining open to the creative process and unexpected results.

What gear do I need to get started?

If you have a computer with access to the internet, chances are you're ready to start making music today!

You may wish to purchase additional gear to enhance the process or accomplish a specific task. If that's the case, we can discuss options that work for your budget.

What software do you recommend?

Whatever software you have access to! I firmly believe that the best tools for making music are the ones you already have.

If you have an Apple computer, then you already have GarageBand installed. If not, there are many great alternatives to fit any budget.

If you have questions, get in touch, and I'll help you determine what options are right for you.
